We’re busy with the rehearsals and getting ready for the Dutch Theater Tour which starts in two weeks!

Last week we announced a couple of tracks you can expect to hear during the theater tour and Monday we revealed three songs from the Unforgiving on Facebook.

Two other tracks that will also be part of the show are “Mother Earth” and “Ice Queen”!

Sharon got creative with an old pair of dr. Martens for the theater tour.

“I made my pink dr Martens silver & with some extra sparkles my new Dr.Martens R born” she tweeted about her ‘new’ Dr. Martens.

Within Temptation is coming back to the UK on the 6th of July!

We’ve already announced our performance at Sonisphere Spain, and today we can confirm we’re coming to Sonisphere UK as well!

Sonisphere UK 2012 takes place from the 6th – 8th of July in Knebworth.

Besides Within Temptation, also Kiss, Wolfmother, Queen and the Darkness are performing amongs many others. The exact date of our show is yet to be announced. Tickets are available on the 23rd of February.

The fifth issue of the Unforgiving comic can be pre-ordered in the webshop!

Janyce continues her investigation into finding who Disciple is and stopping him at all costs. She tries to get into his head which may cause more long-term damage than Janyce intends. Meanwhile, Sinead and The Triplets wage war against the Wraith Killer, who has joined forces with Myriad – an unexpected ally. Can Sinead and The Triplets mount a combined assault that will take out to two demonic creatures? One thing is for certain, both sides will sustain casualties…but who will fall? This epic battle leads into the final issue of the series!

Sharon den Adel rondde deze week met Within Temptation een succesvolle tournee in Zuid-Amerika af met onder andere uitverkochte shows in Mexico, São Paulo en Rio de Janeiro. Tegelijkertijd verkoos partner Robert Westerholt de Schotse Hooglanden als decor voor de aankomende theatertour.

Westerholt is in samenwerking met een vast team druk bezig met het creëren en produceren van de nieuwe theatershow van Within Temptation, die in maart dit jaar van start zal gaan. De band heeft gekozen voor de Highlands als leidraad voor het decor van de theatershow. “De ongekende schoonheid en mystiek van de Highlands sluit helemaal aan bij de voor velen wat onbekendere, rustigere en folkloristische nummers van Within Temptation,” aldus Westerholt.

Het visuele spektakel speelt bij een show van de band een steeds grotere rol. De filmbeelden uit de Schotse Hooglanden (Highlands) zullen in de nieuwe show dan ook te zien zijn op het grootste LED-scherm dat ooit in Nederlandse theaters is gebruikt in combinatie met levensechte 3D projecties.

De verkoop van de theatertour is inmiddels in volle gang.

Sharon den Adel completed a South-American tour with her band Within Temptation this week, visiting 7 countries and performing sold out shows in Mexico, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, partner Robert Westerholt chose the Scottish Highlands as décor for the upcoming theater tour.

Together with a set team, Westerholt is working on the creation and production of the new theater show of Within Temptation, which will be kicked off in March this year. The band chose the highlands as main line in the décor of the theater show. “The great unknown beauty and mystic of the Highlands go hand in hand with the lesser known softer and folkloristic songs of Within Temptation,” sais Westerholt.

The visual aspects of the show are playing a larger role in the Within Temptation show. The visuals shot in the highlands will be projected on the largest LED-screen that has ever been used in the Dutch theaters and will be combined with life-like 3D projections.

Within Temptation will perform at Highfield Festival in Sachsen, Germany. The festival is held from the 17th until the 19th of August.

Aside from Within Temptation, also The Black Keys, Social distortion and Me First & The Gimme Gimmes amongst many others are performing during Highfield Festival.

Last night we played our last show of the Unforgiving South-America tour in Brazil. We want thank everyone for your great vibe, enthusiasm and patience!

We were received at the airport, performed our first sold out show in Mexico, found an illegal merchandise mug, reached great heights in Quito, had fun in the lovely Peru, enjoyed the great weather, were confronted by Murphy’s law, got kissed by a frog, lost some baggage at the airport but fortunately found it again, and were drawn into some kind of pre-carnaval in Rio!
