WT Most Played Dutch Artist in 2011

Last.fm published a top 100 of artists that had the most listeners in 2011. The countdown shows the amount of listeners the acts gained over the past year through their community page on Last.fm.

You guys played Within Temptaion songs over 45 million times. This makes Within Temptation is the only Dutch act in the top 100 of 2011.

    Really happy for WT to have a result like this, and also for my other favourite band Rise Against also being on the list. Seeing both live within a week of each other last year was pretty much the best week ever. :-)

    This is so fuckin AWESOME! Little by little, but surely enough, Within Temptation is starting to get more world-wide recognition in every mainstream, commercial, media angle you can possibly think of! And I don’t mean mainstream as a bad thing, because it’s something that’s inevitably going to happen; a lot of people are turning away from the garbage mainstream that is being played now a days and looking in other directions and they’re discovering Within Temptation. There are many people who have NO IDEA who Within Temptation are, but when they DO find out, they are caught off guard because they never fathomed that such a beautiful, angelic singer and amazing group of instrumentalist ever existed! PLEASE, Within Temptation, keep your momentum going because you’re just a bubble waiting to burst and penetrate through every radio-wave, nation, and person’s ear where even the deaf shall hear you!
