About our Privacy Policy

We are aware that you put trust in us when using our services. We therefore see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information when you use the services of Sound Factory B.V. (hereinafter “SF”, “we” or “us”).

When placing an order at SF, we will need your name, e-mail address, delivery address, and payment details to process your order and to keep you informed on the order’s progress. In addition, SF also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as information which is required for our tax returns.

Personal data Sound Factory collects and handles

While using our service, SF may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. This personal information may include, but is not limited to:

  • First name and last name;
  • Addresss;
  • Email address;
  • Payment information;
  • Usage data.

Disclosure of your information

All the information you provide may be processed and stored, transferred or accessed by SF or other third party entities. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. SF will not combine or share this information with other personal information that we possess.

We do not collect or use any of your personal information for purposes other than the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless we have obtained your permission in advance.

SF will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Sharing data with third parties

SF solely shares your personal information with third parties to accomplish our agreement. Additionally, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

SF uses cookies to track the activity on our website and hold certain information. These cookies help us enhance your experience when you browse our webshop and allows us to improve our site.

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we may ask you to prove your identity with approved identification. This to protect your privacy.

Shipment and prices

Orders will be shipped using either DPD or FedEx. The shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on your shipping country and the number of items that you ordered.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a Track & Trace e-mail containing the information to track your order. With this Track & Trace information you can follow the status of your shipment.

Products or services ordered from our MOV At The Movies Webshop may be subject to import duties and taxes. You, the customer, will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. We have no control over the lenght of time your order will be held at customs for clearance and suggest that you contact customs directly for more information.

Items in stock and pre-orders

When the ordered item is in stock, we always aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible.

The pre-order articles have an (expected) release date listed on the product page. We usually ship out these pre-order articles several days before the release date, to ensure that you will receive the record on - or as close as possible to - the release date.

If you place an order with both pre-order items and items the MOV At The Movies Shop has in stock, your entire order will be shipped on the latest pre-order date of any of the pre-ordered items. If you do not wish to wait, please place separate orders.

Change or cancel your order

If you have any questions about your order, please contact us at support@soundfactory.zendesk.com. Please clearly mention your order number and we will do our best to assist you.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at support@soundfactory.zendesk.com stating your order number. Please note that once our Warehouse has started preparing your order for shipment, or when you have received a shipment confirmation e-mail, we cannot cancel your order.

Returns and refunds

If you are not satisfied with any of the items you have received from us, or if any of the ordered items you've received are inaccurate or defective, please contact us at support@soundfactory.zendesk.com within fourteen (14) days after delivery.

Ordered items will only be considered for a refund if they are returned in the original packaging and in new condition without broken plastic seal. For the full Terms and Conditions regarding returns, please visit our Terms and Conditions Page.

Numbered Items

When the product page specifies that the first ‘x’ amount of orders receive low numbers, the number on your article will not correspond to the consecution of orders placed.

For example: the first 100 orders will receive a low number, but that does not mean that the first order will receive item 0001, the second order will receive 0002, etc. In this case the first 100 orders will receive a low number, but these low numbered items are shipped out at random amongst those first 100.
