In 1996, Within Temptation built a world out of darkness and light - symphonic, heavy, and impossible to ignore. Thirty years later, that world is still expanding.

Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation was founded by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt. After their first recordings in doom metal, they were developing their music to a more accessible symphonic style, becoming known to the worldwide public. Before receiving mainstream airplay with the successful singles "Ice Queen" and "Mother Earth", Within Temptation released their debut album "Enter". The album is rooted within gothic and doom metal, with harsh grunts from Robert Westerholt and Sharon den Adel's beautiful voice - the record where it all began.

These aren't reissues. They're artifacts. The albums that shaped a genre, the songs that became anthems, the records you played until you knew every breath between the notes, now in a strictly limited format.

To mark three decades of music that has moved millions across every continent, this 'WT 30 Years' anniversary edition comes as a limited edition of 1,000 individually numbered copies on aquamarine/white split vinyl, and includes a 4-page booklet with pictures and lyrics. Two tones that reflect what this band has always done best: hold two opposing forces together and make them beautiful.
